Clubbercise instigates huge dance-off at Gatecrasher Birmingham for This Girl Can
Clubbercise instructors rocked a 200 deep dance floor of female fitness enthusiasts in celebration of International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March 2015.
The international women’s day dance-a-thon party was hosted by Be Active Birmingham as part of Sport England’s #ThisGirlCan campaign, which is sweeping across the UK encouraging women to break barriers they have preventing them from getting more involved in sport and fitness.
An evening of dance fitness at Gatecrasher nightclub in Birmingham city centre included 30 minute tasters of Zumba, Capoeira and Bollywood dancing. Clubbercise had the 6pm slot, with Mel C, a Clubbercise pro-instructor Birmingham, leading an energetic crowd from a raised stage on the dance floor, showing the crowd how a workout with glow sticks is done.
Clubbercise instructors from around the Midlands then infiltrated the crowd, instigating a huge dance-off to Black Eyed Peas track Pump It. The response was electric. Watch highlights of the action in the video.
